Hello Parents,

A couple updates on the Sea to Sky competition in Vancouver:

  1. Competition Dates

Sea to Sky is April 7 to April 9th. The majority of the competition will take place for the girls on the Saturday and the Sunday.

  1. Accommodation

I am currently in contact with the Days Inn Vancouver Downtown which is very close to the convention center without breaking the bank. I am looking to book off a block of rooms and I will email out pricing as soon as I hear back from them. The group code will always be “GA All Stars” for hotel rooms.

  1. Hoodies

I need hoodie sizes for each athlete so I’m assuming that means all the athletes are receiving a crew neck sweat shirt at the competition. I would treat these sizes like the traditional Gildan type t-shirts/sweatshirts you would order for school clothing. Size ranges are YS, YM, YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL. Please email me the size.

  1. Waiver Form

There is a waiver form that must be filled out by the parents and brought back to me either electronically or in person as soon as possible. I have attached the waiver form as a PDF and there will also be some available in the competitive office drawer in the “cheer” folder.

  1. Travel

We have looked at the average costs for flights – and families are looking at roughly $500 for roundtrip flight including taxes if you fly in on the Friday and leave on the Sunday evening after the competition & awards has completed. Families are recommended to make their travel and accommodation arrangements as soon as possible. Here is a sample flight schedule we have found at this price – https://goo.gl/flights/RSGp.

  1. Out-of-Province Competition Policies

Athletes/parents are responsible for booking their own travel. Parents must provide/arrange for a guardian/supervision for their child for the duration of the trip. Coaches cannot act as guardians for athletes during the trip.

If you have any additional questions feel free to shoot me an email.

Thanks,
