Specialty Movement & Acrobatic Gymnastics Classes (For ages 6 and older)

Our Specialty Movement Classes have been developed to meet the diverse needs of our participants and athletes. These programs are designed to help develop specialty skills, and also to provide people with opportunities for conditioning and general fitness, as well as development of an array of skills (tumbling & stunting). Please note that the first classes always review basics and landings for the coaches to practice safety in the gym, review skills, as well as get to know the participants.

Intro to Acrobatics and Tumbling 6 years and older. In this 60-minute class, participants are working on developing fundamental gymnastics skills. They are working on skills on trampolines as well as floor work. This class is ideal for participants who are working on achieving their cartwheels, handstands, forward rolls, backward rolls, bridges, and variations of these skills. They will also work on introductory Acrobatics skills, such as balance and body control while working in pairs or groups.

Intermediate Tumbling In this 90-minute class, participants are working on continuing to develop their fundamental gymnastics skills learned in the introductory level. Participants must have completed the Introductory class, or have been recommended by a coach to advance to this level.

Advanced Tumbling 7 years and older. In this class, participants are progressing skills on trampolines and floor work. They should have a strong cartwheel, handstand, forward and backward roll, and bridges. They should be ready to begin progressing these skills intro round offs and aerials, dive rolls, walkovers, and handsprings.

Mini Ninja 4 and 5 years old. This 45-minute class is for participants wishing to join an age appropriate pre-parkour class for the busier athlete. They will be working on skills, jumping and twisting through circuits and various equipment throughout the gym.

Little Ninja 6 and 7 years old. This 60-minute class is for participants wishing to join an age appropriate pre-parkour class for the busier athlete. Think America Ninja Warrior. This class will work on practicing fundamentals of gymnastics to practice safety, but also work on circuits to allow the participants to use the skills they are learning to move in a free flowing manner from one piece of equipment to the next. They will be working on skills, jumping and twisting through circuits and various equipment throughout the gym.

Parkour 8 years and older. This 60-minute class is our gymnastics version of parkour. We are still practicing fundamentals, but also practice skills to allow for free flowing parkour movement from one piece of equipment to the next. They will work on progressing skills, and vault, leap, jump, and twist through circuits and various equipment throughout the gym.

Acrobatics Gymnastics Level 1 to 3 7 years and older. This 75-minute class is our Recreational version of Acrobatic Gymnastics. It is a great discipline for learning fundamental basics, balance, and body control. They will work on tumbling skills such as dive rolls, cartwheels, and walkovers. Participants will also practice balance and body control while working in pairs or groups of 3 to learn partner balances and lifts.
