Our national group got the opportunity to watch an awesome presentation on nutrition this weekend at their training camp.
I attached the presentation so that everyone could have a chance to see it.
I truly can’t stress enough how important nutrition is for our sport. When athletes come to training and they are very tired or irritable it is almost always due to lack of nutrition leading up to training or not enough sleep. Eating the right amount is important as well as eating the right food.
Fitness is a huge part of this sport especially for athletes trying to move up a level. When athletes take a long time to progress it is almost always because they are not fit enough to learn the skill they are trying to do. Athletes can train and condition as much as they want but if they aren’t eating right then that conditioning and training isn’t doing anything.
