Competitive Programs
Competitive Training Programs
At Gymnastics Adventure, we pride ourselves on being the premier athlete training facility in Regina. We are proud to offer competitive training programs for Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics, and most recently, Acrobatic Gymnastics. Our competitive program is designed to help athletes who want to dedicate their time to gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, or acro in order to develop specific skills. In addition to achieving personal goals, our competitive program also develops teamwork, leadership and a sense of community.
Artistic Gymnastics Program
Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, or WAG, is the most well-known discipline of gymnastics. WAG consists of four events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Athletes must compete/train all four events and athletes are the same level across four events. Women’s Artistic Gymnastics is an incredibly challenging sport, demanding strength, power, flexibility, agility, courage, and a combination of technical precision and artistic creativity. At Gymnastics Adventure we have three different WAG Programs: Developmental, CCP (Canadian Compulsory Program) and Xcel. The right
program for your athlete depends on a variety of factors including age, skill level, commitment level, etc.
Trampoline Gymnastics Program
Trampoline Gymnastics, or TG, conjures images of precise dismounts and stunning twists. Trampoline gymnasts exemplify aerial speed and power in their dynamic routines. Trampoline Gymnastics is divided into 4 categories: Power Tumbling, Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline, and Synchronized Trampoline.
Gymnastics Adventure is also home to an introductory competitive TG FastCat program, providing 3 levels of participation for athletes leading into the competitive stream (Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline, and tumbling events).
Acro Program
Acrobatic Gymnastics is a discipline that involves gymnasts working together in partnership to perform dynamic, balance and/or combined routines that consist of tumbling, acro elements and choreography.
These routines are all set to music and performed on a gym floor. Within these partnerships, there are base and top positions.
